Chrome steel: the heavy-duty standard

Our Chrome Steel Swivel Castors 50mm – Set of 5 (£19.99) use polished steel housings around twin 50mm wheels. Steel housings don't crack under load the way nylon bodies eventually do — these are the castors we recommend for operator chairs in constant use.

When the whole underside is tired

Crunchy wheels are often the first symptom of a worn-out chair bottom. The strongest “castor” is no castor. Chrome steel glides (£17.99) are solid metal feet with no moving parts — we haven't seen a set break since 2006.

Fitment
